The Ruby AI Fireflies integration connects with an API key rather than an OAuth redirect. Paste the key, click Sync Fireflies after a call, and Ruby reads the transcript with speaker names and timings attached.

Why connect Fireflies to Ruby AI?
No OAuth screen and no admin approval. A rep can connect Fireflies in under a minute.
Your Fireflies allowance stays yours. Fireflies limits how many API calls your key can make, so Ruby never fetches in the background. Transcripts come in when you click Sync Fireflies, and that button is separate from the general Sync meetings button so syncing your other tools cannot eat into your Fireflies limit.

How does Ruby AI use Fireflies?
Ruby lists transcripts since the last sync, then reads each one for the title, the date, the attendee list with emails, and the sentence-level transcript with speaker names and timings. The API is documented at Fireflies' API limits documentation.
Ruby does not read Fireflies' own AI summaries, action items, topic trackers or sentiment scores.
Fireflies does not supply a meeting link or calendar event ID, so Ruby matches Fireflies calls to meetings using attendee emails and time overlap. Connecting a calendar makes that match stronger.
What does Ruby AI put into Fireflies?
Nothing. Ruby creates no transcripts, edits nothing and deletes nothing.
How do I connect Fireflies to Ruby AI?
In Fireflies, go to Settings → Developer Settings → Personal at app.fireflies.ai and copy your API key. It is available on every Fireflies plan.
In Ruby AI, go to Settings → Integrations → Fireflies, paste the key and click Connect. Ruby stores only the last 4 characters for display.
Click Sync Fireflies to pull your transcripts. That button appears once Fireflies is connected and is separate from the Sync meetings button used for your other tools.
What can Ruby AI do with Fireflies?
Transcripts with speakers and timings. Ruby reads each sentence with the speaker attached and the moment it was said, so the analysis knows who raised the objection and when it came up.
You control when transcripts come in. A Sync Fireflies button appears once you are connected. Click it after a call and Ruby pulls your latest transcripts. Nothing runs in the background, so your Fireflies allowance is only ever spent when you ask for it.
Attendee emails come through, so Ruby can match a call to an account by domain and can recognize when the same meeting was captured by another tool.
Analysis starts automatically when the meeting is already linked to a deal on your calendar: meeting analysis, stakeholder tracking, MEDDIC scoring, deal health, sales strategy.
